D^eeani jee kat~aara lag^aayoo'n,
डी॒अनि जी कतार लगा॒यूं,

We line up lighting lamps,

Mithaayuni jee mauja machaayoo'n.

We eat plenty sweets and candies,

Sika jo khan~ee sa'nd~eshu aaee,
सिक जो खणी संदेशु आई,

It has brought us message of fond memories,

D^iyaaree aaee, d^iyaaree aaee.
डि॒यारी आई, डि॒यारी आई

Diwali has come, Diwali has come.

Acho t~a gad^ijee phataakaa b^aariyoo’n
अचो त गडि॒जी फटाका बा॒रियूं

Come, together we fire the crackers.

Baaghha bama ai’n soosir^iyoo’n saar^iyoo’n,
बाग़ बम ऐं सूसिड़ियूं साड़ियूं,\

We fire children’s fun giving ammunition.

Kheerin~ee d^aad^eea vaaha jee thaahee,
खीरिणी डा॒डी॒अ वाह जी ठाही,

Grandma has made wonderful kheernee (milk made sweet drink)

D^iyaaree aaee, d^iyaaree aaee.
डि॒यारी आई, डि॒यारी आई.

Diwali has come, Diwali has come.

Nando vad^o th~o lakshmee pooj^e,
नन्डो वडो॒ थो लक्श्मी पूजे॒,

Every one, young and old, prays Lakshmee Maata today,

Sikaa sonaa kheera me’n b^or^e,
सिका सोना खीर में बो॒ड़े,

Bathe golden coins in the Milk

Seet~aa maat~aa jee yaad~i aaee,
सीता माता जी यादि आई,

Today we recall and remember Seeta Maata.
